Admission
Guided by the rules & regulations of the WEST BENGAL BOARD OF PRIMARY EDUCATION and the WEST BENGAL UNIVERSITY OF TEACHERS' TRAINING EDUCATION PLANNING AND ADMINISTRATION, Govt. of West Bengal.
Fee Structure
The fee structure of the college is as per the direction of Govt. of West Bengal & NCTE.
The Library
The Institute has a computerized central library with the objective of supporting academic and research Programmes of the Institute. The library is centrally placed and easily accessible. The library has a collection of over 5000 volumes in different subjects, 37 journals (national and international) , 15 encyclopedias and other periodicals, magazines and dailies (Regional-3, English-2). The major thrust areas of the library collection are technical, management, education, language teaching, literature of Bengali and English. The library also has a sizeable collection of materials in History, Cultural Studies and Religion. The library also possesses reports, pamphlets, articles, audio and video CDs collected from different sources in India. The Reference Section for Bengali and English contain documents such as dictionaries and encyclopedias. There is also a separate textbook section housing books prescribed for specific courses provided by the Institute.
Laboratories
Physical Science Labs:
The Lab is equipped with various models different type of apparatus testing materials for physics & chemistry and photographs of eminent scientist.
Bio Science Lab:
Our Bio Science Lab has all the equipments in sufficient quantity so that each pupil teacher can perform his practical individually.
Social Studies Lab:
This lab consists Atlas of India and Maps of India and world. In our Social Studies Laboratory also different types of aids, text books, reference books, magazines, maps, globes, chart, and models are found.
Mathematics Lab:This lab is equipped with sufficient quantity of mathematical shapes, charts, models, apparatus, various experimental items and photographs of eminent mathematicians.
Language Lab:
Essential material of Language laboratory along with charts of language teaching and Electronics media with appropriate software as prescribed by the NCTE are available.
Psychology Lab:
The Psychology Laboratory is provided with apparatus for simple experiments related to educational psychology, personality skills, aptitude tests and interest inventories etc.
Fine Arts Lab: With all the working infrastructure for;
(a) Clay modeling,
(b) Drawing & Painting,
(c) Teaching of Arts,
(d) Preparing 3-D Model for teaching purpose,
(e) Making candles of different types.
I.C.T./Educational Technology Laboratory:
This lab containing overhead Projector, Slide Projector, DVD Player, TV & PA System. J.B. Memorial College of Education has created the most optimum and advance computer center. All the computers are connected via a Local Area Network. The hardware configuration of the computer center are Pentium IV processors and equipped with latest version of software and provides internet connectivity round the clock to students on totally cost free basis.
Music Lab:
Simple musical instruments such as Harmonium, Tabla, Null, Flute, Manjira and other indigenous instruments are available in this resource centre.
